Severe hypotension, vol-depleted patients or hypotensive; patients w/ MI or CHF; hypovolemia, marked anemia, heart failure due to obstruction (including constrictive pericarditis), raised intracranial pressure due to head trauma or cerebral hemorrhage; severe renal or hepatic impairment, hypothyroidism, malnutrition or hypothermia. May aggravate angina caused by hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Daily headaches sometimes accompany during treatment. Lightheadedness on standing may be frequent in patients who consumed alcohol. Pregnancy & lactation.
